Lalala with us
Music & Crafts for Kiddos
March 10th / 2018
I wanted to create something for all the littles that love music as much as I do; something that can cater to their imagination wherever they go, and I knew my friend and neighbor, Sydney, would be the one to help make it happen. Sydney runs a Kids Clothing/Craft business called Greyboy, in which she already makes a couple cute plushes. The Plush Ukulele idea was not only ideal for Little Parade, but was something that stylistically works with Greyboys line-up of plushes. She drew up an adorable cartoon ukulele and made them wonderfully!
Sydney and I wanted to present this collaboration through a music and craft event for kids. So, we gave our friends at Festive Collective a call and they were excited to host us at their magical place!
Greyboy helped on the craft part of the event and brought out markers so that the kids can decorate their plushes and make their own costumed guitar pick shrinky dinks!
We invited more friends like illustrator, Moody Rodent, to do portraits on vinyl records. A local baker, Amanda Jane who made cute "lalala" cookies for the littles! Fresh coffee was made available for the adults by home roasters, Good Manner Coffee. And a beautifully creative backdrop for photos by Bash Party Goods & Luft Balloons!
Of course, Lalala with Us couldn't happen without live music by Little Parade! I was so happy to sing some of my favorite songs alongside my husband. It's always a treat to do a class with him since he's just as passionate about this as I am.
Lalala with us was a success and I'm grateful for all the vendors and ALL the beautiful kiddos I got to meet!
